I work best with B2B startups that need senior marketing leadership without building a full team. I lead demand gen across search, AI search, paid media, content and reporting, and you work with me directly. I was a marketing leader at TrustRadius, Bluehost and Ziff Davis. Work starts with a free audit, then a project or an ongoing program. I'm in Austin, so the first call can be coffee.
Before consulting, I was VP of Audience & Review Generation at TrustRadius and served on the leadership teams at TrustRadius and Bluehost. At Newfold Digital, I grew the team from a handful of people to about 50. At Ziff Davis, I helped acquire and integrate three Black Friday sites into the commerce portfolio, and Ziff Davis acquired Mashable while I was there.
I started out at agencies in Dallas and founded Barrera Search Marketing, which BuzzShift acquired in 2013. Today I run Mark Barrera Consulting, where I'm the senior operator on every engagement.
